Easy to put together. All pieces came undamaged. Was really surprise the quality of the headboard was better than expected. I've only just bought it so I can't speak to durability yet, however things last longer if you take care of them.

I love this bed. It did take 2 1/2 hours to put together, but it's very sturdy & looks great. The directions were very easy to follow & there was a number to call for assistance.
