it is a very good scanner for its price and if you search how to get it out of the all lock out on YouTube the first one on the list made it very easy to fix and I got my frequency off line and I recommend this if you are low on money

I just wanted a scanner to monitor air, rail, and catch other UHF/VHF signals. Works great. My only negative is that it seems to really eat the batteries! Walmart had the cheapest price I could find and no cost for shipping when picked up at the store.

Over the years I have owned many scanners. By far this is the best. Easy to program/operate. Good quality construction. Good reception range. Good audio. It consumes batteries fast. Be sure an use good quality rechargeable nmhi batt. I use Sanyo 2700 mah they last the longest.
