I used to use conventional motor oil in my 1969 SS396. I hated adding a zinc and phosphorus ZDDP additive every time I changed the oil, especially since it had a short effective life. I have no reason to rate this below 5 stars.

I have used Valvoline and VR1 in everything that takes oil. From 70 GTO ,68 Galaxie 92 Mustang all ran hard.I have always used it in my bike before there was a designated oil for mc's. Ducati BSA And Hardly Dangerouson. Never a problem with engine wear. Electrical problems, thats another story.

We have been using Valvoline VR1 for 15 years now and have to say it has never let us down. We have had motors that have run 40 or more shows on this oil and the bearings look almost brand new. We recommend this oil to every racer that comes in the store.
