If you want a version of The Hobbit to give to or read to a young child, this is the version you want! The cover and pages are high quality, the print is large, and there are simple but interesting illustrations on almost every page. Very glad I got this!

Reread this in advance of the movie. It's still a very fun read. I was amazed at how fast everything moved and how many storytelling 'rules' Mr. Tolkien violates along the way.
