Pretentious and, frankly, creepy and weird. I'm all for undercover/immersion journalism but... a 20-something university grad going back to high school and pretending to be a student? And then writing a book including the [actual teenage] students he encountered? Doesn't sit right with me at all.

Could have been more interesting if he'd had a point in going back to high school as an undercover adult. Or if he'd had permission to go to a school that wasn't completely terrible. It was still intriguing in some ways, but not particularly compelling.
