This would be a cute book to read before a money lesson in math. Its about a little girl who gets a dollar from her Dad. She goes to the store and tries to find how to get the most bang for her book. The written in AB rhyme scheme which makes it fun to read.

From a math perspective, I did not like this book. Shelley Gill uses "sing songy" sentence structures, which can get kind of confusing. Also, the book isn't very realistic, I mean in this economy, where can you get a pickle for a nickel? However, the story line was cute.
