This works great! I have the whole kit that came with the DVD too, just be patient with your kiddo. We started when my daughter was 5-6 months old and she didn't sign back till about 10-11 months! But she understood, and now she's 14 months and it's so helpful to know what she's trying to tell me!

The illustrations are looking a little dated, but there's still nothing else quite like this little book. Even if the only sign you can teach your baby is the one for "milk" (which is, charmingly, like the motion of a hand milking a cow), you'll save your ears from untold hours of crying.
