Def takes two to build in my opinion. Simply because is so heavy. Thick shelves. Sturdy. Nice set of shelves x 2. Very heavy duty.

These shelves are easy to assemble, using just a Philips screwdriver and a hammer. Once assembled, they are VERY sturdy and solid shelves for heavy books. I bought two of the sets, for a total of four large bookshelves taking up one entire wall (I have a lot of hardcover volumes).
