This is great! I put it under bowls but put it in with the honeycomb part facing up. It makes carrying hot objects from the microwave much easier. I have heat sensitive hands/fingers so this has helped a lot. It also stopped splatter when reheating spaghetti in the microwave and wiped off easily....

I like that it is not just a mat to contain spills and is easy to clean, but can be used as a hot pad to remove hot food from the microwave and then as a trivet on the table. I do wish I had the option of color, though, the beige is boring. But it performs great!

Love the size of this mat. Can use under bowls or over food in microwave, eliminating spatter. I also use it around the item to carry without feeling any burning. Great item .. I have purchased several and gave one as a gift in a kitchen "need to have" package.

perfect fit for my microwave. makes cleanup easier and also use it to lift hot glass bowls out of the microwave. would recommend.
