Karen Shepard keeps you guessing. The story is told in three vignettes, and is refreshingly unpredictable and thought provoking to the very last word. I'm still thinking about it, trying to figure it out.

well, I enjoyed this book through about 1/2 way but then started to lose interest as they dragged the same story out through several characters, sometimes not knowing how those characters ever fit into the story. In the end I didn't really figure out what was going on.
