A Summer to Die is a story about the relationship of a girl named Meg and her sister. Although the title makes it sound like a horror story, this book is actually the sad story of the summer Meg's older sister Molly dies of leukaemia. Her parents, her older sister, Molly, and her move so that her dad can finish his book in peace with no distraction from his studen...

This book will never get old. The morals still live on for me, and I first read it at age 11...I have re-read it countless times and tears come every single read. Meg is so relatable and Lowry writes in such a simple style that the sadness is amplified when Molly becomes so ill. You must read this.
