I love the series. It's nice for a change not to have a character who is a police officer or detective. This one is about a doctor who tells it like it is. Doc Martin has a dry sense of humor and the series is really funny. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Got into this series, viewing regularly in the 5th season. Starting with Series 1, am `catching - up` now with the story. Doc Martin is a great program - well-concieved, interesting, sometimes hiariously funny, with keen insights on human nature and (British) small-town living.

This series is very humorous with colorful characters. It is not a comedy, per se, but it is very funny. Doc Martin says exactly what most people only think but wish we could say to his patients.
