Needed to replace the original tires on my Q5 after 45K miles. Did s me research and selected Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4s. Ride, handling and rain performance are terrific. It's as if I have a brand new car!

Upsized to 18" wheels & ride is even a bit softer than the AS3's on the 17" wheels. Steering at low speed is a bit heavy with the larger contact patch than the OE 215's. Good grip cold, much better when warm. Side wall flex is a big improvement in cornering.

There is a reason OEMs choose Michelin. The Tesla model S must have smooth, quiet tires that absorb various road imperfections and maintain good handling characteristics. Road noise is a big concern when driving a vehicle that has no drivetrain noise.
