      I enjoyed the late 19th-century San Francisco setting and insights into what life was like for rich and poor back then. Quincannon's obsession with finding the loot from a Wells Fargo robbery and earning the 10% reward didn't interest me as much as Carpenter's mystery of the debutante's vanished ...

      I enjoyed the second book just as much as the first. I think they are nice light read and I really like the characters. Im really surprised that the series hasnt received better reviews.

      Light weight but interesting, primarily for the portrayal of old San Francisco. Male member more of a caricature than he needs to be. I expected better from these two excellent writers.
