While the garment does smooth, at 5', 165lbs. I would have thought that a size Xl would have fit snugly, but thats not the case. I will be ordering a size large in the future.

I have purchased shaping panties from other brands that cost 2x what the Maidenform Shaping Briefs cost. The Maidenform briefs are actually more comfortable the the other brands that cost more. They fit and they shape as advertised. I recommend these briefs without reservation.

These shaping briefs are very comfortable and don't show under bottoms. I haven't worn them yet, so I can't judge how they stay in place.

The underwear part is cute and comfortable yet the tummy tamer is nice and firm. I would not sleep in it because the tummy tamer part would be too tight for bedtime.
