I now teach 3rd grade and still use calendar time in order to teach a different set of skills. We now track the weather, moon phases, etc. My students are able to flip over the date cards and write the temperature to track it one month. Another month, we turned them over and drew the moon phases....

This was just what I wanted it to be for my little 3 year olds in my class. It has a lot of colors, special date squares, and we use it everyday we are there. I highly recommend this to other teachers.
