starting putting this together and all was well, then the end pieces started not fitting in the poles, and were so tight, some started even shaving the plastic off the pieces and I pushed them in. got all the way to the end of assembly to put the top shelf on and was MISSING A SHORT POLE PIECE! ...

"Sturdy metal rack" is a joke. The shelves that hold the shoes are canvas, the legs are hollow metal, and the pieces to hold this 2-in-1 unit together are plastic that break before you even get the shelves together. Huge waste of time to try to assemble and a BIG waste of money since I doubt it...

Absolute garbage, cloth inserts are so tight you cant even put shelf together without plastic joints breaking. Broke 2, then carefully tried with the last 2 spares and those broke as well.
