each plate seems to have a low side where it was held when it came out of the mold or something, but makes them a little unique. love the 2 sizes of plates and bowls, and we loved that we didn't have to get a set with mugs that we wouldn't use anyway

we ordered 3 sets of these dishes, and very few were chipped or unusable. I called to have the chipped pieces replaced and it was extremely easy, no hassle. the pieces are heavy and good quality. I highly recommend these dishes as they are beautiful.

Love the plates. They are beautiful. They feel strudy and solid. Only time will tell if they last as long as my last dinnerware set, which was 12 years. Very happy with my purchase.
