    Was glad to see a "good" writer tackle Philip Marlowe and have to admit, Benjamin Black (John Banville) is a great choice--I don't think this Marlowe has quite the edge Chandler gave him, but I could be wrong. Decided to read an original just "because" but that does't mean I didn't enjoy this read.
