The Wing on a Flea (Hardcover)

This is a wonderful book for students just learning shapes and basic geometry. I think this would be a good read in the beginning of learning/teaching shapes and having the students create their own page to add to this book would be a fun way to have them really engaged in what they are learning.

I recommend this, the original version. Of course, I could be wrong, as I haven't seen the re-issue. It is too bad that only three shapes are covered, but then, the book really is about the fundamentals. I would love to see companion books about 1D lines and about 3D cubes, spheres, and pyramids....
