This definitely covered an aspect of life that I was unaware of! The illustrations are quite majestic in scope; they give a grandness and sense of history to the story. I learned quite a bit about Mongolian culture which I have been woefully ignorant of. Good book!

Another beautiful account of Ted & Betsy Lewin's travels around the world, this time to Mongolia for the Nadaam Festival. The illustrations tell the story as much as the text and does an amazing job depicting the lives of the children jockeys.
