I'm surprised by the mediocre reviews from those who expected this air cooler to function as an air conditioner. It's an ice-filled air cooler that works well in small spaces to provide additional cooling. It never claimed to be anything more than that.

I think their best use is on a side table. My unit does cool me down quickly and help with my dry eyes by increasing humidity. These are way over hyped but well designed units. This mini air conditioner has been a lifesaver for my desk in a hot corner of my workplace. While it does produce some condensation, it's easy to manage by adding ice to the unit throughout the day. Overall, it's been a great addition to my workspace.

I had the AC condensers removed from my office temporarily for construction and purchased this product to help keep me cool. It works well for personal cooling, but it won't cool a room unless it's very small. Despite this, I still recommend it. It's better than having nothing at all.
