I read this series for the last 100 pages of each book and a few dozen sections of pages in the middle. After the beginning books, the best ones have been with the kid in space, so I have high(er) hopes for the rest of this plot arc. I just wish "they" would make her edit out the internal angsty ...

Amazing how the author can keep me on the edge of my seat without any gun battles, just politics and diplomacy (or lack thereof). The characters are deep, even the younger ones, and the universe building is multi-faceted and believable. Bravo!
