I had to take these shorts in. The medium is way too wide at hips in comparison to other bathing boy shorts. They do run a bit big. These are not like tankini bottoms, there is no built in panty. You have to wear something else under them or you will be flashing your business! They are meant to go over a suit.

As another reviewer said, they are not boy shorts where they hug your buns and thighs. They are loose and baggy and it's not just that they are too big -- it's the style. Not as described.
