The seat and back have a plastic coating. The stitching is actually a poor quality print. In addition, the base came scraped and the plastic cover over the support pole was cracked. That damage was most likely because it came packed quite poorly. Do not recommend it for the money.

The seat cushions are cute to look at but they are made of a plastic type of covering that looks like it should be removed very cheap looking. My 9 year old loves it and doesn't care so I will be keeping. But disappointed.
