The blanket is very soft. It warms quickly. I can't tell much difference between the different heat levels, but that doesn't matter to me. Even if the house is cold, this blanket keeps me warm. These are hot little throws how anyone would want the setting to be on the highest level is beyond me~ The 2nd level is really warm. And they are super soft. Best part they automatically shut off after 4 hours. I love this electric throw so much I bought 2
