Richard Scarry books are great classics. When my son was young he was very picky about what books he liked. He loved Richard Scarry books! I bought a bunch of these books for Toys for Tots.

This book has so much detail. It is fun to read aloud and point out all of the tiny details. It's also a brief introduction at a child's level to economics and the trade of goods and resources.
