I was a little hesitant about this when I heard "magician-turned-FBI-agent" but I'm glad I took a chance. The lead character reminds me of a female Jack Reacher, tough and resourceful, not the least bit fluffy. Great action and diverse cast of characters. Thoroughly enjoyable read.
