I would say the gown runs true to size. It's long sleeves so it's good to even wear during the summer if you keep your home really cool or you can just wait until the season changes. The house shoes are a little small but other than that... I really like it.

I got a size 7/8 and it fit my 8 year old perfectly, and she is a big for her age. She 4'7", 75 lbs. The slippers were a little small for her. She normally wears a shoe size 2.5. The slippers that came with the dress were size 13/1. But she loves the outfit!
