This tool works great! Would have given it 5 stars, but my husband had to redrill the two pin holes. The balance of this thing is great. Drag a log on just barely over one end, hook the chain over the log and start cutting. Just make sure you are on level ground. ;)

This is a great tool but keep in mind, if you don't have a tractor or a hoist you need to muscle a log up above your waist to set it in the cradle. So it may have a capacity of 600 pounds but do you?

I was able to cut my logs up with little effort. After one log I figured out how to place the holding chain properly. Need to place it away from the log support instead of straight up from it location.
