Solid research and a story well told. As a fervid reader of WW2 history, this is not a familiar period of warfare for me. However, I am struck by how human history of war seems to repeat itself.

Bruce Ware Allen does a remarkable job of taking the history and telling a compelling story. I didn't know very much about the siege of Malta and Allen's solid research definitely shines.
