Allen Eskens is a new favorite author of mine. In this novel, a police officer seeking redemption finds a case that is more than he bargained for in clearing his name. Great storytelling, filled with full (and flawed) characters, and a deepening mystery. Very enjoyable read.

I definitely like this second book of Eskens---but I had to have a little "gulp" at the ending??? The book was so fast moving, flowing right along with event after event---but the ending??? Yes, fine....but. I am unable to write more here for fear of ruining it for someone else.
