Remove the ball end from the narrow rod and attach it to the end of the wider rod using the larger rubber grommet. Then, use narrow rod in center between two wider rods.

Very nice looking & was easy to put up. I didnt need to use the extender but I did pull off the rubber tip to see if I had to extend, it would work, and it does allow for this too. Very happy with my purchase.

i noticed people getting frustrated about how to make the rod longer. All you have to do is uncap the ball from the shorter one, put together the 3 rods so the smaller one is in the center, then cap the larger end. Simple if you use your head. Put a support in the middle at the right height so it...
