While I love this cookware it is very heavy so great for keeping things the right temp but also heavy to handle, especially when full.

I bought these to replace old stainless cookware with an aluminum bottom that was worn. I was not comfortable using old pans on a glass top. I have no experience cooking on gas stove. Calphalon has a smooth bottom; requires lower heat settings and retains heat longer! I do not use metal utensils...

The size, and quality are great. The space-saving lid is awkward to use. I wanted to buy the smaller size but am looking for something with a different type of lid.
