A Pine Deep Novel: Ghost Road Blues (Series #1) (Paperback)
This is horror on a grand scale, reminiscent of Stephen King. The book that launched the Pine Deep trilogy Thirty years ago, a blues musician called the Bone Man killed the devil at the crossroads, only to be beaten and hung like a scarecrow in a cornfield--or so the story goes.
Today, the people of Pine Deep celebrate their town's grisly past by luring tourists to the famous haunted hayride, full of chills and scares. But this year, "The Spookiest Town in America" will learn the true meaning of fear.

Good book to read during the Halloween season. Lot's of info in this book as it is setting the "world" for the trilogy. I am greatly anticipating the reading of the next two books. Like the characters of Crow and Val and the town they live in. Great creepy characters as well.

This story wasn't particularly engaging nor was it very scary. It also included a good deal of domestic abuse which I don't find entertaining. There was a reference to the correct pronunciation of the name Igor that made me chuckle and bumped my rating up half a point to 2.5.
