World-building worthy of the original movie. The characters are unique and fun but blend seamlessly into the established world. The action, dialogue, and atmosphere are well-balanced. Thoroughly enjoyable whether on not you're a fan of the movie/show.

I didn't realize this was the beginning of a series, so I was a little frustrated by the ending and the lack of answers to some plot points. Overall the book was fantastic though, and perfect both for long time Dark Crystal fans and those new to the world.
