Pull his tie to make him talk. Mine too came in a cardboard box in plastic. But i did read a review that you have to pull his tie. That will trigger his voice box. Hope this helps someone. Merry christmas, fellow shoppers!

Supposed to laugh by pushing his tummy. Doesn't work unless you open back and push buttons. SpongeBob is big worth the money but would like it to work properly

Got this as a gift. It came repackaged in a plain cardboard box, not the one showed in the picture. The instructions were missing too. Really disappointed.
