Purchased this because we wanted and arc lamp but did not want it to be too huge — this is perfect size to hang over a couch but not get in the way. It is great looking and was easy to put together. Provides nice light for reading. Very pleased!

I was hesitant to but this lamp given some bad reviews, but I do love it in my living room. It is quite big, so it may not be the best fit for smaller spaces.
