This lamp is very simple in appearance but it is so lovely! Makes a terrific bedside lamp or lamp to read by. Easy to turn on and off. Cord is longer, which is nice so you can place it a good distance away from the outlet. The shade lights up nicely as well but takes away the harshness of the bulb.
