Keeping the tab closed on the lid is the secret to prolonged 'hot' coffee. I liked the slightly wider base with the rubber mat underneath. I also liked that it was easy to clean. I most especially like having a lid the prevents accidental spills when moving from one room to the next.

I bought this to keep my coffee hot while I'm working. This mug keeps it hot for hours! I also have a Contigo water bottle that I use for cold water and it keeps it cold for a day which is why I looked at this Contigo mug when I needed one for my coffee. Love it!!
