      Like others, I feel the thermometer is mounted too high, it takes 10 gallons of sap in the pan to submerge it. Overall the pan is good quality, and this was my first "real" maple pan, although I have been boiling for a few years. The prewarming hopper is a nice touch and will hold exactly 5 gallo...

      The only disappointing thing about this evaporator unit is that we ordered it too late and it showed up a day after we finished our syrup for the year. HOWEVER...because it is built so well, we are EXTREMELY excited to do our next year's boil and HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who boils their own...

      The pan is very well built. Perfect welds nice bends. The thermometer is up a little to high for me i like to run at about 2” deep. Other than that i would highly recommend it.
