5'4" 145. i got a M but I think a small would have been good. There is a draw elastic to make them tighten up. Nice thickness and the pockets are great for holding phone while working out.

Avia is a favorite brand because their clothes are so well made. Wash/dry without issue. I am switching over to the leggings (AVIA, of course) that have side pockets. A must if you carry a phone. I am 5'6" and 140 lbs. I prefer the XL as I don't want to look like some women I see wearing them waa...
