The rating is based on my use as a lightweight boot for yard work. At $20, they great. They are just high enough for some ankle support, and comfortable for occasional use. They would not be sufficient for heavy duty work or serious hiking. I bought a second pair for use at my cabin.

Fairly satisfied the only thing that I would find wrong with it is that like most shoes the rubber separates from the bottom of the shoe after some use and the rubbers kind of thin so that things will pierce it but all in all compared to other shoes that I've had it held up pretty well
