Very nice fabric, not too sheer. They do let the light in but not see through. You can make out some objects if you are standing about 1 inch from the curtain but not if you're just walking by. My mom liked them and says they help brighten up the room without giving up your privacy.

This is a quality semi-sheer drape that lets in partial light. Better than blackout drapes that make your room too dark. A quick ironing and it took out all the wrinkles. Hung them up quickly and they look perfect. Very happy with this purchase, especially for the very low price.

these curtains were even prettier than the picture. they set off my bedspread and walls beautifully. most importantly, they block light so the room stays cooler and the streetlight doesnt shine in on me as i try to sleep.
