They came in sturdy boxes that accommodate Amaryllis growth. I've been leaving them in the light now for a week and they're starting to sprout! The bulb is a lovely red color, dipped in red wax with a sturdy wire bottom holder.

These were a replacement for some that did not bloom. The replacement ones were rotten when they arrived. They had white foam coming out of the top.
