The brown color is almost black which I liked. It's not very tall, after you put pillows on you can't see much of it. Good quality. Hardware is included, it's attached to the inside of the box lid.

The headboard came on time, and in good condition. The only problem was no hardware was enclosed to attach it to the bed frame, even though the enclosed instructions indicated the hardware was enclosed.
