This is my second braun coffee maker as the heating unit quit after 7yrs of use. I just ordered a new one same as the old one. I thought i might try and fix the old one later on as the rest of the unit works,just not heat the water. Got one on order from walmart.

I purchased this coffee maker 5 years back. It stopped working recently. So I started shopping around and purchased a coffee maker. But the coffee it brewed was no way close to Braun. I returned it and got this coffee maker again. Makes perfect coffee all the time.

Great coffee maker but the lid closes tightly and traps residual moisture in the brewing chamber and there is no venting feature to allow it dry out. My homemade fix is to insert a spacer under the lid to prop it up about a quarter inch. This allows for moisture evaporation. Works great! Perhaps ...
