I enjoyed this tale about Wade who tries to go on a date with a girl from school, but instead ends up having to deliver a calf when the mother goes into labour early. Along the way he confronts his demons and his abusive stepfather. An enjoyable read.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. (Spoilers within) To be honest, I wasn't sure what to make of this book. The entire book takes place over maybe a day, and it's a snippet of the life of a boy in a broken home. I tend to go into books blind - sometimes it helps...
