This was one of the best novels ever written on India during the end of the British rule. It's superbly written with great details on the land, the rebellion,a dn the people. Insanely beautiful and tender at times. Worth reading for any book lovers.

This is my absolute favorite book. Ever. And I read a lot of books. I will agree that the end was a little abrupt, but more than anything it had me longing for a sequel. This is one of the best books ever written by one of my favorite authors.
