very nice ironing board and cover, this is the one to choose. The underneath is not plastic. Also has a place for your iron. Bought mine for ironing curtains and tablecloths.

Nice durable ironing board! It was hard to put up at first. It doesn't have a normal latch like others. The latch on this ironing board is secure and locks in place.
